Inspiration
This hyperrealist macro oil painting of a Rainbow bug on a lavender plant was inspired by a particularly dark season of my life, when I found myself drawn even more to the extraordinary power of colour. The iridescent shell of the beetle became a reminder that, even in times of darkness, there is still light, beauty and hope to be found in the world around us.
